Current News

2009 has been an amazing year so far and its not over yet. At the start of the year several tracks from my Debut Album were remixed by H &H Soul Survivors which were released on Beat Monkey Records in February and these guys are currently working on more remixes of mine which are to be released in late August.

My single “One Life” was promoted alongside Puma's new fragrance and was also used as the main campaign song for the Knife Crime Awareness Tour which took place in early 2009 and gave me great exposure and allowed me to build some great relationships with Independent charites and other performers.

I completed another short tour of the UK which still has 5 dates left before the tour is over but this been a major success and has given me a lot of promotion and exposure for me as an Artist and has allowed me to gain a strong fan base throughout the UK. I have recently just returned to the UK after performing in front of crowds in excess of up to 50,000 people in the heart of the city of San Francisco, California.

My New Single “We’re Taking Over” is to be released on the 13th of July and is already causing a stir in Nightclubs and on radio throughout the UK and my new music video is to be featured on MTV’s programme “The Lick” and will be broadcasted across the world on numerous commercial music channels and Internet based TV Stations.

I am also currently planning my “Back to Reality” 2009 US Tour which will take place across 5 American cities; NYC, Las Vegas, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco in September/October this year. It’s going to be wicked and watch this space for my new single “Back to Reality” which we be released at the end of year, with my follow up album being released in the Spring of 2010.

Personal Music Biography

My name is Reece Pullinger and I am a twenty-two year old Producer, Rapper and Songwriter known as E.N.V, born and raised in Canvey Island, Essex and now living in East London, England. I released my debut album “Do Not Approach These People” on my own independent record label, NVP Records (London) back in the Summer of 2008 and am currently working on my follow up album. My Debut Album reflects my own personal experiences, relationships and achievements and features another artist by the name of Les Green, a male vocalist from Blackburn, England. The genre of the album is influenced from a variety of musical styles including R’n’B; Hip Hop; Rap; Jazz; Pop and Drum & Bass. Through the use of these styles I have created my own individual niche, which is a unique mixture of all these musical influences. Many of the tracks feature lead piano lines, due to the fact that I am a classically trained pianist. Throughout my career I have used my classical training to help develop my production techniques and notation.

Early Background

At six years old I began classically training to become a pianist. It was from this age that I began composing and writing my own compositions and ventured into my first collaboration with another artist, a female singer from my Primary School. Together we would perform songs in local talent contests, with me playing piano and her singing. Throughout Primary School I also played each month at our class masses and during full school assemblies. In addition to performing, I undertook practical and theoretical Associated Board of the Royal School of Music exams, achieving several Merits and passes up to Grade 5.

At the age of thirteen I began learning to DJ, however two years down the line my decision changed and I knew I wanted to become an MC. I first went by the name of Reecie P, but later became known as MC Envy, which evolved into E.N.V. As I progressed as an MC and became known locally, I teamed up with fellow MC’s to perform at my local nightclub and other nightclubs within the Essex and London areas.

Musical Training

In 2003 I enrolled at the South East Essex College to study Music Technology for three years. It was at this institute where I first started to produce digital music and gain hands-on recording experience. I started out producing and recording Drum & Bass tracks, but later decided to broaden my audio spectrum and record Reggae and Rock bands, as well as producing Hip Hop and R’n’B music.

At eighteen I started to promote my own monthly club night called ‘Kaos’ where I got to perform with the world’s number one Drum & Bass MC, ‘MC Eksman.’ Promoting these events gave me the chance to have my latest tracks previewed by audiences of around five hundred plus, and gave me the perspective on how they were actually being perceived. After completing my three years at South East Essex College I was offered a place on the Audio Engineering Diploma at the SAE Institute in North London and then went on to complete my BA in Recording arts at the same institute.

It was here that I began to record the demo version of my debut album and collaborate with other vocalists and engineers. I engineered on Les Green’s debut R’n’B album and also wrote some compositions for a few short films.

2008 Performances

In 2008 I performed over twenty live dates across the UK got the chance to perform my debut single “Please Don’t Cry” and my follow up single“I Am What I Am” on the main stage at London Pride in Trafalgar Square in front of over 15,000 people. I got to travel through several cities and perform in some outstanding venue last year however my 2009 performances have been on a totally different level as I have been advancing as a recording and performing Artist.
