Biography
Melissa Suzanne has been recording and singing professionally since the age of 13. She has experience in musical theater, dance, acting, as well as several genres of music including pop, gospel, rhythm and blues, and soul. She has written and produced many original songs, including the songs on this site! Melissa is currently working with well-known producer/songwriter Kevin "K Flow" Flournoy on her highly anticipated first album. Kevin has been working in the industry for nearly 20 years with such legendary acts as Gladys Knight, The Pointer Sisters, Ronnie Laws, and Donnie Osmond. Once the album is completed, the next step is receiving the backing of a major label who will promote and distribute the songs nationally and internationally. Three of the songs on this new original pop and R & B album are written by Melissa, one of them in Spanish. Melissa enjoys many different types of music but has been most strongly influenced by contemporary R & B, soul, Motown music, and the amazing talents of singers Donny Hathaway, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Maxwell, and Stevie Wonder. Melissa has also been writing and producing her original songs for the past 13 years! She enjoys the freedom and artistic expression that comes with creating lyrics, melodies, background harmonies, and arranging the music of the songs she writes.
