Everything in the bar stopped, and all eyes turned to the stage when Weekends played its first single "Anna Rexia" to a DC audience. Everyone wanted to hear the end of the story of Anna at the mall in this shocking tale of true love and a sound diet. The awesome adventure had begun! Weekends consists of Kevin Borland and Dan Damage, both formerly of Cleverneck. They played their first show together that fateful night when JFK Jr.''''s airplane fell from the sky. Although Cleverneck did not live to maturity (due to Kevin''''s embarkment on a three year journey including running off with a funk band in Zanzibar and iving on a farm in Thailand), Kevin and Dan remained the best of friends and wrote nearly 50 songs on the weekends. The band was aptly renamed.
Due to recent demand for a radio version of Anna, Weekends has recently picked up drummer Jeff McManus (formerly of Pist. On) and Jim Frint (formerly of Descending Angel) to provide a rockin' rhythm section for the project.
